What We Do
The C.L.A.S.S. Support Committee helps to support the C.L.A.S.S. program by working on improving the program, updating the tests for evaluators, providing ideas and copy for the C.L.A.S.S. web site, and other duties as assigned.
C.L.A.S.S. SUPPORT COMMITTEE
Title: Committee Member
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Good computer skills (MS Word & Excel)
- Ability to work with people
- Self-motivated
- Creative
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Access to the Internet and able to check email daily
- Able to participate in occasional conference calls
Job Description
This Support Committee will work to provide support for the Special Programs Coordinator for the C.L.A.S.S. (Canine Life and Social Skills) program. The Committee will help to continue to grow the program through:
- Refining rules and curriculum
- Exploring promotional ideas
- Refining and developing test questions for evaluator and handler exams
- Assisting with writing copy for web site and handouts
Responsibilities:
- The Committee will consist of 6 to 8 members
- Actively brainstorm on effective promotional ideas to bring the C.L.A.S.S. program to regional areas who do not have it
- Assist with adding more questions to the handler and evaluator question databases (including video test database)
- Assist with writing copy as needed for the web site and handouts
- Assist with refining and developing curriculum and discussing rules issues as they arise
- Be a resource for trouble shooting any issues that arise in the program in its first year
- Report to the Committee Vice Chair and Special Programs Coordinator
