This committee was created to establish procedures for putting together a high-quality, professional and educational conference program.

The conference committee works all year to design, plan and oversee the annual APDT educational conference and trade show.

We receive lots of comments and suggestions from our members; keep them coming because we are listening! It is YOUR conference so keep passing on ideas and suggestions and we’ll keep working on presenting the kind of conference you want.

Conference Planning Task Force: Job Description

Title: Conference Planning Task Force

Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/month

Skills & Other Requirements:

  • Has a strong desire and commitment to the educational goals of the Annual Conference
  • Works well in team efforts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Served as a APDT Conference Staff or a Border Collie or have experience in other conference planning/staffing
  • Ability to work well with deadlines and turn around edits on short notice
  • Strong familiarity with the APDT mission and vision
  • APDT Member in good standing for at least one year
  • Must have regular access to the internet and the ability to check e-mail daily
  • Participate in  conference calls for meetings
