Job Description
Title: C.L.A.S.S. Member Promotion Task Force Member
Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per month
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Strong computer skills (MS Word & Excel & Powerpoint)
- Ability to work with people with diverse opinions and backgrounds
- Self-motivated
- Creative with marketing/sales/public relations experience desirable
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Access to the Internet and able to check email daily
- Able to participate in occasional conference calls
- Ability to participate in video chats using Skype, Oovoo, or Google+ without technical assistance
Job Description:
The C.L.A.S.S. Member Promotion Task Force’s role is to:
- Develop ideas for promoting C.L.A.S.S. to the APDT membership.
- Work with APDT staff to implement approved marketing and promotion ideas.
- To create an action plan for CLASS Member-to-Member Promotions.
- To assist with moderating the future C.L.A.S.S. group listserv.
C.L.A.S.S. Member Promotion Task Force Deliverables:
- A detailed plan for member-to-member promotion of C.L.A.S.S. for 2012 and 2013
- Posts for the C.L.A.S.S. blog
- Content for the Evaluator email newsletter
- Articles on “How to Start C.L.A.S.S. in Your Business” and “How to Start C.L.A.S.S. in a Shelter” for The APDT Chronicle of the Dog and the C.L.A.S.S. and APDT websites.
Responsibilities:
- The Committee will consist of 5 to 7 members
- Actively brainstorm on effective promotional ideas to encourage more member participation in the C.L.A.S.S. program. The goal is to have 10% of eligible members participating by the end of 2012 and 20% by the end of 2013.
- Create a detailed action plan for promotion and marketing to the membership within three months of the start date of the task force.
- Assist with implementation of action plan.
- Assist with writing copy as needed for the web site and handouts
- Assist with moderating new listserv for C.L.A.S.S. Evaluators and Instructors.
- Report to the Special Programs Coordinator
