About the Award
This award is for an APDT Member who exemplifies the APDT spirit through training of dogs, as demonstrated by meeting a variety of requirements set forth by the Awards Committee.
Requirements
Nominations should explain why this person should be considered for the award. The following information will be considered by the committee:
- Contributions to the APDT
- Volunteer work within the APDT
- Efforts to uphold the APDT Mission Statement
- Contributions to the welfare of dogs
- Contributions to the education of people
- Volunteer work within the animal community
The APDT Ian Dunbar Member of the Year is chosen and voted on by the APDT Board of Trustees. The APDT Ian Dunbar member of the Year exemplifies the member who best demonstrates the APDT spirit through training of dogs and service to the APDT.
Award
The winner will receive up to $1,500 to go toward travel, meals and hotel and free admission to the APDT Educational Conference. The winner will receive recognition and a certificate. The deadline for entry is May 11, 2010.
