Donna Duford is the Director of Behavior and Training at the San Francisco Department of Animal Care and Control, where she is responsible for training volunteers, creating and conducting canine behavior assessments, providing staff and volunteer education, and coordinating an enrichment program for animals.

She has lectured worldwide on dog training, behavior and instructing, and is internationally known for her creative approaches to training and behavior modification. She has served on The Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers and on the Board for The Pryor Foundation.

Donna's interest in children and resolving child/dog conflicts led her to participate in the Strategic Humane Interventions Project (SHIP), a program using clicker training and shelter dogs, to help at-risk kids and their families. In addition to teaching and lecturing, Donna has written for several publications, and is author of Agility Tricks -- for Improved Attention, Flexibility and Confidence.
