Shelia Harper, BED

| Shelia Harper |
Shelia Harper works with dogs on a professional basis, holding pet dog classes and working with behavior problems.
She also conducts courses for anyone wanting to learn more about dogs, and regularly lectures internationally. She has a one year in-depth International Dog Trainers Program which she delivers in England, Germany, Switzerland, and Holland. She was a school teacher for over 22 years.
Much of Shelia’s knowledge has come through living with dogs over the years, observing their interactions and learning how they deal with difficult situations themselves. She uses this knowledge and the dogs’ own language to help resolve conflicts as they arise. The physical and mental well-being of the animal is of paramount importance to her, and she tackles problems with an underlying consideration of the emotional needs, health and physical welfare of the dog. A great deal of Shelia’s experience has been with problem dogs, mainly those of a nervous or fearful disposition, or those showing ‘aggression.’
She lives with six dogs, five of which have been rescued, and has lived and worked with many dogs that have had severe problems.
