Ms. Parsons is the Canine Behavior Training Consultant for the VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital and the Training Director for Karen Pryor’s Clicker Training.
Emma is the respected author of Click to Calm: Healing the Aggressive Dog. This book was inspired by her work with Ben, her Golden Retriever, who became extremely aggressive to other dogs after being punished severely by an aggression expert. Emma turned to clicker training, working with Karen Pryor to successfully eliminate Ben’s dog-on-dog aggression. She teaches “Click to Calm” seminars world-wide sharing the knowledge she gained through her rehabilitation work with Ben, and her years of working with clients and their aggressive dogs.
Emma has taught clicker training classes at Tufts Veterinary School of Medicine and Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue. She has been featured on national radio and television shows.
Emma is currently a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the Dog Writers Association of America, Inc., the Massachusetts Animal Coalition, and the Massachusetts Federation of Dog Clubs and Responsible Dog Owners.
