Randy Kidd, DVM, PhD

Dr. Randy Kidd is a veterinarian with a special interest in the human-animal bond.  He has practiced as a “normal” veterinarian and more recently as a holistic vet, specializing in alternative medicines such as acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, herbal medicines, aroma therapy, and flower essences.

Kidd is a past president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association. He has written the books Dr. Kidd’s Guide to Herbal Health for Dogs and Dr. Kidd’s Guide to Herbal Health for Cats and he writes columns for Dog World, Herbs for Health, and Whole Dog Journal.

Kidd is now retired from active practice in order to concentrate on teaching the importance of the human-animal bond – or as he says it, teaching people how they can enhance the reunion of the human spirit with the soul of nature.
