Trish King, CPDT, CDBC

Trish King is the Director of the Animal Behavior & Training Department at the Marin Humane Society in Marin County, California.

MHS’s programs include behavior consultations, dog training, dog adoption evaluations, and classes for dogs up for adoption. Other innovative programs help to screen incoming animals, and train dogs waiting for adoption.

Ms. King teaches workshops and seminars on behavior, canine management, temperament assessment, and handling difficult dogs.  She established a Canine Consultant/Instructor Academy, which covers training theory and techniques, handling dogs, and teaching people. She is a member of the Delta Society panel that created Professional Standards for Dog Trainers: Effective, Humane Principles. A sought-after speaker, Ms. King has spoken nationally, including APDT Conferences, HSUS, and AHA.

She is the author of a recently released book for dog owners, Partnering Your Dog.
