Cheryl Margaret Smith is a charter member of both the APDT and CAPPDT who has been a dog training professional for over thirty years. She has specialized in the area of inappropriate aggressive behavior for over twenty years and was a pioneer in the development of "Growl" classes utilizing behavior modification and humane training techniques to alter inappropriate aggressive behavior with humans and other animals.
She has presented seminars and workshops demonstrating these techniques in many locations in Canada, the United States and Japan. She is recognized as an expert witness in the courts in Canada for cases involving dog aggression. She states that she has been blessed throughout her lifetime to have known and been owned by many amazing animals who have taught her many valuable lessons and it is these lessons that she wishes to share with other dogs and their owners. She currently lives in Kemptville, Ontario with her two German Shepherds, Drago and Aryanna, and one powerful Chihuahua, Chica. Completing the household are her five cats, Laylah, Moon Shadow, Sundancer, Doodad and Clyde
