Deborah is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.  Ms. Wood was an award-winning collegiate debater and is an accomplished public speaker.

Ms. Wood trained her first dog – a Pug – to a Companion Dog obedience title when she was 15 years old. She now competes in obedience trials with her Papillons. She uses only positive, reward-based training methods.  One of her Papillons is a Delta Society pet partner therapy dog and regularly visits a children’s hospital.  She has also done many other dog-related activities with her Papillons, including tracking, herding, earthdog, Flyball, canine musical freestyle, and rally obedience.
