A professional dog trainer for more than 14 years, Teoti Anderson is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and the owner of Pawsitive Results, L.L.C. in Lexington, South Carolina (www.getpawsitiveresults.com).
Teoti served on the Board of the APDT for six years, serving as President from 2004 through 2006. She is the author of Your Outta Control Puppy, The Super Simple Guide to Housetraining, Terra Nova Puppy Care and Training and Quick and Easy Crate Training, winner of the Dog Writers Association of America’s Maxwell Medallion. She also is a contributing author to Modern Dog magazine, Off Lead magazine, Christmas Dogs: A Literary Companion and The Dog Trainers’ Resource: The APDT Chronicle of the Dog Collection (I and II).
Teoti serves as a training consultant to local and national dog rescue groups. She gives presentations across the country on a variety of canine topics to pet owners and trainers alike, and has been quoted in the New York Times, DogFancy, and other national publications. Teoti is actively involved in animal-assisted activities and therapy with the Delta Society, a nonprofit organization that promotes the human-animal bond. She serves as a Delta Society Instructor and Evaluator, and volunteers as a Pet Partner with her Labrador, Logan, visiting patients in local healthcare facilities. In 1999, Teoti, Sebastian and three-legged Labrador Cody earned the Delta Society Beyond Limits National Therapy Team of the Year Award. She is a founding member of Prescription Paws, a Delta Society affiliate group serving the SC Midlands area, which visits healthcare patients, educates facilities and the public on animal-assisted therapy, and offers bite prevention programs to children.
