| Sue Pearson, MA, CPDT |
When she was eight years old, Sue Pearson got her first beagle. So began her lifelong love for dog training.
Sue holds a graduate degree in education and has been teaching pet dog classes for the past twenty years. She is owner and training director for SPOT & CO. Dog Training in Iowa City, Iowa.
Sue conducts individual behavior consultations and provides pet dog training for puppies and adult dogs, as well as classes in Agility, Canine Good Citizen, and Rally-O. Along with five extraordinary trainers, Pearson teaches several classes each week, provides training to volunteers at the local shelter, and speaks to youth and children about behavior modification and dog-friendly training techniques.
Sue is also a contributing author for The Source, a regional news magazine, and for the Dog Star Daily website. She was a member of the American Humane Association’s task force charged with the development of humane training standards, and participated on the APDT’s Education Committee during the development of the trainer certification test.
Sue is an avid beagler and lives in Iowa City with her beagle, Madison, and her nearly-beagle Listenmissy.
