Turid Rugaas

Turid Rugaas lives in Norway on a little farm in the hills with her daughter, grandchildren and animals. For the last 20 years Turid has worked as a professional dog trainer. She initially instructed in training club classes, then began her own classes, and then gradually to problem solving and giving lectures. One of Turid's special projects was research and development on calming signals.

Over the last 14 years she has specialized in problem solving, traveling internationally and conducting education classes, seminars and workshops, and dog camps educating dog trainers, a task that takes more and more time. Turid has written Barking the Sound of Language, On Talking Terms with Dogs: Calming Signals, My Dog Pulls – What Do I Do and produced a training video Calming Signals: What Your Dog Tells You.

Turid’s newest project is a publishing company which she has founded with two business partners that will print animal books.
