August 28, 2009 - We’re excited about having this year’s conference in the Bay Area. This is where dogTEC began and it’s an incredible community of trainers. The conference atmosphere should be particularly collegial and full of great conversation.
Our favorite part of the conference every year is getting to see our clients in person, especially meeting clients we’ve never seen face to face, and the opportunity to meet and talk with so many new people.
We’ll have a double booth this year to make more room for new products (including a Puppy Curriculum designed for regular or open enrollment registration and a new CD full of easily brandable homework and content handouts for private training) and to accommodate the fact that the whole core dogTEC team will be in attendance. We’re hoping this way to eliminate wait times to see a demo or talk to a business coach. We are also a great source of local restaurant recommendations. :)
We’ll be speaking on Sunday about new ways to develop and package curriculum in these challenging economic times. If you’re not satisfied with your classes or their sales come join us. We’ll be looking at approaches that address many of the common classroom challenges, such as dogs and people at various skill and experience levels and learning that doesn’t translate outside of class (“He only listens in class! It’s not working at home!”). And we’ll be looking at how curriculum and packaging changes can significantly impact registrations, repeat business, and word of mouth.
In short, we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces, putting faces to voices, meeting great new people, and lots of fantastic conversation!
