September 22, 2009 - One of the best reasons to attend the APDT annual conference is the opportunity to learn, not only from the speakers, but from other trainers of all experience levels. The APDT has recognized this aspect of the conference and in order to capitalize on it there will be roundtable sessions where attendees can gather to share thoughts, experiences, and ideas on a number of topics. During each session you will find “free choice” tables where groups of trainers can gather and chat about whatever subject strikes their fancy as well as tables provided for discussion of a specific topic with a knowledgeable moderator to help keep the conversation flowing. Roundtable topics include, but are not limited to: Working with aggression, service dog training, working with kids, and many more. The roundtable sessions are an excellent way to find fellow trainers with similar interests and to learn from them.
