Flat Pets Invade the APDT Conference
Last year in San Diego, the Flat Pet Kennel Club premiered and conference attendees voted for their favorites. The contest raised over $300 for the San Diego Department of Animal Services.
Flat pets are back by popular demand! We'd like to feature your flat pet in your community on our Facebook Page with an opportunity for them to be featured in the Conference Workbook and in The APDT Chronicle of the Dog.
Here's how you get started:
- First - create your own flat pet. Instructions can be found at http://myflatpet.com/diy-flat-pet/.
- Second - snap some creative photos of your flat pet at home, in classes or in the community and e-mail your flat pet photo including it’s name, your name and where you are located to firstname.lastname@example.org. After receiving your photo we will know you are ready for the conference - Daniel will send you a secret code to pick up your flat pet badge whick says: "I'm going to the APDT Conference - Meet me there"
- Third - Continue taking pictures of your flat pets and enter them into the competition to be chosen as one of the page dividers for the APDT Conference Workbook. Additional photos should be submitted to email@example.com.
- Fourth - Find and "like" the APDT Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TheAssociationofPetDogTrainers.US. Share the link and encourage your dog training friends to like it as well. Here you will see some of Daniel's favorite flat pets as well as information on local and conference attractions.
It's a great chance to have fun, connect and have you and your pet featured. To compete in the first round of selections - send your flat pet photos to Daniel by Monday June 4th. The flat pet chosen for the first feature will be posted June 11th. Don't miss out on the fun and your chance for fame!
Important reminder: Your flat pet is invited to the APDT conference, but leave the original at home.
