Cathy Bruce is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and owner of Canine Country Academy LLC which offers private consultations and group classes. Prior to her career as a dog trainer, she worked on Broadway as a singer/dancer/actress.
Her volunteer involvement with APDT has included two years serving as Chair of the Member Relations Committee, heading the C.L.A.S.S. task force and is serving her first term on the APDT Board of Directors.
Two years ago, she founded the Georgia Dog Trainer Forum, an educational and networking organization that includes professional dog trainers and behaviorists from all over the Atlanta area.
She has been featured on Animal Planet’s ITS ME OR THE DOG as a guest trainer, served on dog behavior panels, written articles for The APDT Chronicle of the Dog and provides consulting for numerous dog rescue groups. Her personal motto is “changing lives, one dog and one owner at a time.”
