Kyle Held joined the ASPCA in 2010 and currently serves as the Midwest Regional Director of Field Investigations and Response. He was formerly an Animal Cruelty Investigator for the Humane Society of Missouri. There he has played a crucial role in many large-scale cruelty cases, including the largest dog fighting raid in U.S. history, covering eight states and resulting in the rescue of more than 500 dogs and 26 arrests. Held has also served as a leading first responder in nation-wide natural disasters including hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike. Kyle is also a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia's National Cruelty Investigation School.
"I am proud to be part of the ASPCA team, where I can continue to combat important issues such as dog fighting and puppy mills. As a member of the Field Investigations and Response Team, I can also continue educating the public as to why these issues are so important—from grade school to universities to law enforcement organizations, education has always been an important part of my mission."
