This webinar will provide an overview of a dog’s developmental periods including: Neonatal, transition, awareness, canine socialization, human socialization, fear impact, seniority classification, flight instinct, second fear impact, and maturity. Speaker will discuss dogs’ developmental periods, important considerations for every age from puppy through adulthood, and ways to maximize learning.

- Describe a dog’s developmental periods and how they impact the dog
- Discuss how to maximize learning and development in each period
- Discuss ways to handle and manage dog behavior in each period
Presenter Information:
Kellyann Payne has been a dog trainer for over 20 yrs. She has owned and operated two pet care facilities and co-founded an animal related media company called PetsIncredible. PetsIncredible was eventually adopted by Discovery Communications / Animal Planet and Kellyann remained on as an animal trainer and head writer for creative content. She is a professional member of the APDT, where she served for 6 years on their board of directors. She joined the APDT Foundation Board in 2010 and was the Vice President in 2011. She is currently working for her local SPCA in their Operations and Development Department where she can continue her passion to help the animals who need it most and improve the public's knowledge about animals.
