About APDT Membership Levels

NOTE: Between now and end of April 2014, we are performing significant changes and upgrades to the APDT membership levels, benefits, and C.L.A.S.S., as well as a major overhaul to the apdt.com web site and Trainer Search.  If you have any questions regarding any of these changes, please contact the APDT office at membership@apdt.com. While the modifications are being implemented as quickly as possible, you may still see some outdated pages from time to time during this crossover period.  We appreciate your patience during this time.

What are the New Levels?

Professional Premium Members – Premium Professional members are full and part-time trainers and behavior consultants who work for income or as volunteers. These members teach group classes, do private consults, and may work in a shelter, veterinary or other training setting such as service dog, animal assisted intervention, working dog, and sports dog training, to name a few. This category, provides additional benefits, services and discounts for members who want to increase their service level from the association. Professional Premium members may or may not be certified – please review their trainer search individual entries for more information on each trainer.
