APDT Membership Levels
Professional Membership
Limited to part or full-time professional dog trainers, animal behaviorist, and dog training educational personnel who have attained certification from an APDT Board Approved List (view this list).
- Voting Privileges
- Able to serve on Board and become an Officer of the Association
- May Chair or serve on committees
- Priority listing on the APDT Trainer Search
- Receives the ‘Chronicle of the Dog’
- Receives all Online Monthly News Bulletins and Alerts
- Access to Member Only Section of the APDT Web site
- Listed in Online Directory with certifications
- Eligible for all Buying Programs, including Insurance Products
- Professional Member Logo available for web sites, promotional literature, and calling cards.
- Eligible for an additional 10% discount on all APDT Sponsored Events and the Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show.
Cost: $150 for a one-year membership.
Full Membership
Limited to part or full time dog trainers, animal behaviorist, and dog training educational personnel.

Associate Membership
Open to anyone who has an interest in the field of dog training, e.g., suppliers of goods and services, and related professions.

- Listed in Online Directory

Cost: $100 for a one-year membership.
Subscription Membership
This level of Membership has been discontinued. However, we have a new Chronicle of the Dog subscription option available.
