Durango had a sweet spirit that would make you smile the minute you saw him. He would prance up to you, and if you didn't notice him, sometimes that was ok, because he could see you needed to be separate. He would wait patiently until you did notice him, and then he would wag his tail and give you those soft, round eyes that would make you touch him and share your sorrow with him. If you were lost in space and not really living in the minute, he would nuzzle your arm until you came back, and started petting him. He loved to be noticed and petted by everyone he met, and loved to comfort those who needed him, and he always knew who needed him the most.

Durango shared his life and his sweetness with me and many others. He is sorely missed.
