With Emma Parsons
This Webinar is designed to give owners of reactive dogs, as well as those trainers that work with them, more tools. The goal is to create a dog that thinks rather than a dog that reacts to specific triggers in a given environment. The Click to Calm methodology specifically deals with dogs that are reactive or aggressive with other dogs. This Webinar will focus on how to manage this issue as well as how to shape the dog's emotions to ones of confidence and contentment while in a doggy saturated environment. Foundation and emergency behaviors will also be discussed. Please note that "Click to Calm" deals with dogs that are reactive or aggressive with other dogs while "Touch Associated Clicker Training" (TACT) deals specifically with dogs that are reactive or aggressive towards people.
Emma Parsons has been training dogs for more than 20 years, and is currently the Canine Behavior Training Consultant for the VCA Rotherwood Animal Hospital in Newton, MA. She gives "Click to Calm" seminars around the world, teaching others how to manage and rehabilitate reactive and aggressive dogs. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Emma holds a BA degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and shares her life with her husband, Greg, and their three clicker trained dogs—two Goldens, Lizzie-Taylor and Kayden-Blue, and a Papillion, Wylie-Rae.
